Catherine Ann Reed

Catherine Ann Reed, 59, of Moss Bluff, La. passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at a hospital in Houston, Tx. 

Ms. Reed was born on April 11, 1963 in Ville Platte, La. to James Albert and Marie Betty Winn Fontenot Reed.  Catherine loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, they were her life.  She loved spoiling her grandchildren, attending their sporting events and was a dugout Mema.  She was a beloved teacher for 28 years. She loved working in her flower garden, planning family adventures and listening to Christian music.  Catherine was very independent and was a home and a safe place to her family.

Left to cherish her memory are daughters, Katelyn Aymond (Drew) and Allyson Stafford (Jared); grandchildren, Jax, Owen, Penelope and Aden; siblings: Cindy Soileau, Chris Reed, Joey Reed, Greg Reed and Kenny Reed; and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, James & Betty Reed, and one grandson, Noah.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 23, 2022 in Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff at 11:00am with John Louviere officiating.  Burial will follow in New Ritchie Cemetery.  Visitation will be on Thursday, December 22, 2022 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm and will resume on Friday at 10:00am until service time at the funeral home.
