Cathy Reeves

Mary Catherine “Cathy” Lisotta Reeves, 66, of Lake Charles, passed away at a local hospice facility on Wednesday, July 7, 2021.

Cathy was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles and an alumnus of LaGrange High School. She enjoyed a long career in banking and financial services and held a variety of positions with First National Bank, Bank One, Chase, and Merrill Lynch.  Her primary priority, however, was her family, whom she loved unconditionally.  She was a devoted daughter, sister, and mother, and a beloved “den mother” who always had an open door and a hug for her children’s friends over the years. Her children and later her grandchildren were blessed beyond measure to have such a selfless, generous, and loving mom and Nana.

Preceding Cathy in death are her parents, Sam, and Edna O’Kelley Lisotta, and her son, Jason Cole Reeves. Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Jennifer Reeves Razzano (Joe) of Houston; grandchildren, Camilla Catherine Razzano and Cole Louis Razzano of Houston; sisters, Gay Gehrig (Doug) of Lake Charles and Cynthia Beaugh (Timothy) of Scott; a brother, Sammy Lisotta (Tressie) of DeQuincy; her extended family; and many long-time friends.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Saturday, July 10, at University Baptist Church, with a funeral service beginning at 10:00 AM. Father Seth Donald will officiate. Burial will follow at Consolata Cemetery.
