Cecil Conrad Dionne

Cecil Conrad Dionne, 80, of Lake Charles died at 3:45 PM on Saturday, December 22, 2012, in his residence.

Mr. Dionne was born on February 19, 1932, in New Iberia, LA. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Dionne retired from Shell Oil after thirty-five years of service. He was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Pam Dionne; daughters, Bridget Badon and husband Kenneth and Laura Young and husband Paul; extended family, Tammi and Fred Schenk, Lisa and Paul Pigno, David and Pat Perry, Jeff and Jacquee Beam, Terri and Jack Doucet; a brother Eddie Dionne and wife Dianne; twenty grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister Suzanne Janoe; an infant daughter, Stephanie; infant son, Christopher; and a grandson, William Doucet.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Edward Hebert for his exemplary care and to Mr. Dionne's caretakers, Lou Antoine and Tommie Sumpter.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue in the funeral home on Thursday from 8:00 AM until 12:45 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Fr. John Huckaby will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
