Cecil Vincent

February 14, 1933 — October 7, 2021

Cecil Vincent, 88, passed from this life Thursday, October 7, 2021, at a local care facility. Cecil was a 1952 graduate of Sulphur High School. He retired from PPG/Axiall after 33 years of service as a supervisor. Cecil was also a member of Olivet Baptist Church. He enjoyed working out in his yard, garden, and on his property.

Those left to cherish Cecil’s memory are his wife of 69 years, Juanita Vincent; son Ronald Vincent (Joy); grandchildren, Jamie Mitchell (Mark), Jared Vincent (Courtney); great-grandchildren, Karlie Simon, Claire Vincent, Cora McDaniel, and Ian McDaniel; brother, Johnny Vincent (Mary Ann) and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Cecil was preceded in death by his parents, Walter “Bull” and Maggie Vincent; sisters, Dorothy Vincent, Chales Whatley, and Joyce (Jo babe) Vincent.

The family would like to thank the 3rd floor nurses at WCCH and Harbor Hospice of Lake Charles for the care shown to Mr. Cecil while in their care.

Services for Cecil will be at Carlyss First Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Saturday October 9,2021 with burial to follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery south. Visitation for Cecil will be at Carlyss First Baptist Church from 9:00 am until time of service on Saturday. Pallbearers carrying Mr. Cecil to his final resting place will be, Jared Vincent, Dick Fontenot, Mark Mitchell, Matt Kratyer, Chris Simon, Cody Link; honorary pallbearers, Johnny Vincent and Tom Rogers.
