Cecile Romero Lebleu

A native of New Iberia and seventy three year resident of Lake Charles, Cecile passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, August 28, 2014. She was a beautician for many years and was the matriarch of her family. When she spoke, people listened, and she was always compassionate and usually right. She loved to stay busy and was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. Cecile is preceded in death by her husband Vernon LeBleu, son Vernon Wayne LeBleu parents Harry and Uline Romero, sisters Shirley Martin and Agnes Moran, and brother Harrison Romero. Left to treasure her memory is her daughter Darlene McElwee (husband James "Jim") of Lake Charles; grandchildren Tammy McElwee, and Cammy McElwee; Vernon Wayne LeBleu, Jr, Patty Morales, and Kirk LeBleu all of Lake Charles; great grandchildren, Shelby Doxey and Summer McElwee of Lake Charles; siblings Arlene Romero and Rivers Romero (wife LuLu) all of Port Arthur, TX, and Beverly Gaspard (husband Nadel) of Lake Charles. Visitation will be on Saturday, August 30th at Johnson Funeral Home (4321 Lake Street) from 12:00 pm until Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.
