Celeste Anne Deshotel

September 12, 1964 — April 30, 2022

Celeste Anne Deshotel, 57, of Sulphur, passed from this life on Saturday, April 30, 2022. Celeste was always the life of the party where she was sure to make everyone laugh. She loved her yardwork and was the “Queen of the weed eater”. Celeste shared her bounty from her yard with anyone who wanted to grow their own. She was a mother who was always “there”, from being a room mother, attending every function for her children, to being there through every trial and triumph. Celeste made sure her children were always dressed to the “T” for every occasion. She was a good grandmother and loved spoiling her grandchildren.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Keisha Edwards of Sulphur, Alisha Dautreuil (Nick) of Sulphur; grandchildren, Caleb Spears, Kalyn Broxson, Caden Edwards, Jimmy Broxson Jr., Kelcie Broxson, Carter Edwards, Allie Edwards, all of Sulphur; great-grandchildren, Emmarie Broxson, Ryder Broxson; sisters, Carolyn Cormier, Debbie Guidry, Belinda Cormier, and brother, Elias Cormier Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Jeffery (Scotty) Deshotel; her parents, Elias and Jeanette Cormier Sr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at 12 PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Farquhar Cemetery with Rev. Marcus Wade officiating. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, from 5–8PM at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home, and resume on Thursday morning at 9AM until time of service.
