Charlene Douget

Charlene Estelle Johnson Douget, 68, of Lake Charles, LA, passed away at 5:45 PM on Monday, February 27, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.

Mrs. Douget was born November 24, 1954 in Kinder, LA but was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.  She was a 1972 graduate of LaGrange High School and attended Delta School of Business.  She worked thirty years for Derosier Law Firm.  She enjoyed cooking, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family.  She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Douget is survived by her husband of forty-seven years, Randel Douget; daughters, Kimberly Douget of Lake Charles and Traci Douget of Moss Bluff; sister, Kay Heard (Marlin) of Cody, WY; brother, Russell Johnson of Jackson, TN; grandchildren, Brandon Douget, Chase Douget, Cameron Myers, Tyler Douget, Allison Douget, and Kaylee Douget; close friends, Donna Babineaux and Sandra Ange; her fur baby, Little Bit; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her son, Dustin Wayne Douget; parents, Charles and Dena Leichty Johnson; and brothers, Rawlin Johnson and Randal Johnson.

Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 3, 2023 at Johnson Funeral Home.  Rev. Weldon Bares will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service.
