Charles “C D” Mouton, Jr., 91, of Sulphur passed away on February 3, 2018 in his residence surrounded by his family. He was a member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church where he served as a Lector and an Usher for 50 years. “C D” proudly served his country in the U S Navy during WWII and the Korean War. He enjoyed playing golf, fishing, cooking, bingo and spending time with his family and friends.
“C D” is survived by his 3 children, Waldeane (Greg) Gremillion, Chuck (Karen) Mouton, and Pam Hanchey; 5 grandchildren, Tony (Diana) Mouton, Jenny (John) Abshire, Chester Gremillion, Misti (Brad) Labbie, and Staci (Chance) Henry; 11 great grandchildren, Rachel Allen, Kelsi Honea, Haley Allen, Riley Allen, Christopher Gremillion, Courtlyn Gremillion, Brady Labbie, Bryce Labbie, Collin Henry, Logan Guillotte, and Mason Guillotte. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Helen Mouton; parents, Dewey and Eunice Mouton; brother, Paul Dale Mouton; and son-in-law, Jeff Hanchey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 10 A.M. at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church with Father Edward Richard, M.S. officiating. Burial will be in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5, 2018 from 3-9 P.M. with a rosary at 6 P.M. at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, February 6, at 8 A.M. until time of leaving for the church.Visits: 5
