Charles Conrad Duplechian, 70, of Lake Charles died at 11:03 PM on Friday, May 8, 2015 in a local hospital. Mr. Duplechian was born on November 10, 1944 in Oberlin, LA. He was a graduate of Westlake High School and attended McNeese State University. Mr. Duplechian retired from Alcoa Carbon after 36 years of service. He was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. He put his family and church above all. Mr. Duplechian adored his children and grandchildren and cherished every second he had with them. Mr. Duplechian was a gun lover and had a green thumb for gardening. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 45 years, Deanie Duplechian; two sons, Damon "Chop" Duplechian and fiancé, Wendy Clayton and Phillip "Pie" Duplechian and wife Ashley; four grandchildren, Se'aira, Shyla, Conrad, and Levi Duplechian; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his four siblings, Richard and Ellis Duplechian, Verna Abshire, and Barbara Slayter. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 11, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Dale Nazworth and Bro. Don Popp will officiate. Burial will follow in Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Monday from 11:00 AM until the start of the service.
