Charles Julious Weaver 77 of Lake Charles, was called home January 29, 2011 at a local nursing facility.


Charles was born September 21, 1933 in Good Pine, LA. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Weaver was a longtime resident of the Grand Lake/Sweetlake area and was employed by Sweet Lake Land Co. He could be found listening to his favorite French music station while whittling on his latest creation. He had a fondness for animals and always had many pets.

Charles was preceded in the death by his wife Virginia M. Babineaux Weaver; his brothers Joe Dooty Weaver and Morris K. Weaver. Survivors included his 10 children, Sherry A. Taylor, Cpt. Charles W. Bud Weaver and wife Virginia, Julious L. Boogie Weaver and wife Bridgette, Billy J. Weaver, Andrew K Weaver and wife Jackie, Cynthia A White, Charlotte M. Weaver, Stephanie K. Volle, Mark A. Weaver and wife Jennie, Victoria L.Weaver; three brothers John D. Weaver, Shelton Cooter Weaver and wife Mary and Louie and wife Patricia and one sister Shirley Martin and husband Bobby; seventeen grandchildren Sheryl, Elise, Nicole, Jessica, Charles A., Tiffany, Jacqueline, Adrienne, Marcus, Miranda, Joseph, Anthony, Ashley, Dylan, Matthew, Austin and Bethany, and twelve great-grandchildren. With such a large family there was never a dull moment and we will all miss him deeply.


His funeral service will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, January 31, 2010 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Patrick Deshotel will officiate. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Sunday, and from 9:00 AM until time of service, Monday.
