Charles Joseph Polito, 35, of Maurice, LA, passed away.
Charles was born August 31, 1980 in Lake Charles, LA and has lived the past twelve years in Maurice, LA. He attended Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School, graduated from Barbe High School with honors in 1998, attended Louisiana State University and graduated from McNeese State University. He worked in the Food Service industry at various restaurants and meat markets. He enjoyed saltwater fishing and loved football. He was a video game enthusiast and loved electronics. He was an excellent cook and will always be remembered for his caring nature.
Charles is survived by his father, Stephen C. Polito of Lake Charles; brother, Stephen D. Polito and wife Jessica; grandmother, Bernice L. Jones; nephew, Stephen L. Polito; niece, Isabella Polito; along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Elizabeth Polito; and grandparents, Donald A. Jones, Kelly J. Polito and Anne Cascio Polito.
His funeral service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at the Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Reverend Matthew Cormier will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made Our Lady Queen of Heaven building program.
