Charles Kenneth “C.K.” Clopper, Jr., 64, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:38 AM on Friday, December 19, 2020 in his residence.
Born February 26, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA, “C.K.” lived in California and Arkansas, where he graduated from Jacksonville High School. He returned to Lake Charles in 1977, where he has lived since. He worked for LA Pigment, during their construction, TIC, and other oil field related jobs throughout the years. For the past twenty-two years, he was been the owner and operator of Louisiana Golf and Utility Vehicles. “C.K.” enjoyed playing golf, cooking, hunting and had the gift of gab. His true passion in life was for spending time with his friends and family and loved having them over for his famous fried fish. He also had a love for traveling and was getting close to seeing all 50 states.
“C.K.” is survived by his wife of forty-four years, Jo Clopper; sons, Joshua Clopper of Lake Charles and Joey Clopper (Tech Sgt. in the U.S. Air Force) and wife Kashia, stationed in England; mother, Patilou Clopper, of Lake Charles; sister, Deborah Bourgeous and husband Charlie of TX; brothers, Chris Clopper and wife Teresa of Arkansas, David Clopper and wife Lisa of TX, and James Clopper of LA; his grandchildren, Johannah, Cade, Ella, and Kylei; and numerous adopted family members that he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Kenneth Clopper, Sr.
His memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at University Baptist Church, 4505 Lake Street, Lake Charles, LA 70605, under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. A gathering of family members and friends will be at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.
