Charles Louis Seay, 73, of Hackberry passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 in the comfort of his home. Mr. Seay was born on January 06, 1941 to Pete and Lillian Seay in Hackberry, LA. He served in the United States Army as a Airborne Paratrooper. He owned and operated Charo Construction and also worked for Triple A Construction. Mr. Seay will be most remembered as a friend to many, hardworking and kind, who was devoted to his love for his family. His greatest and most proud moments were spent with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. He leaves to honor his memory, one son, Charles "Charlie" Seay and wife Julie; two daughters, Monie Seay and Tiffany Knippa and husband Chad; two grandsons, Ryan and Sage Seay; one granddaughter, Clare Knippa; two brothers, Alex "Black" and Pat Seay and one sister, Isabell Gray. He was preceded in death by his wife of forty- three years, Loretta Devall Seay; his parents, Pete and Lillian Seay; brothers, Orin and Arthur Seay; sister, Marie Stuart and his mother-in-law, Lavelle Devall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM Friday, June 13, 2014 at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church. Reverends Rommel Tolentino and Keith Pellerin will officiate. Interment will follow in New Hackberry Cemetery. Visitation Thursday will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary beginning at 7:00 PM in the church hall. Visitation Friday will be from 8:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Pallbearers for Mr. Seay's services will be Charlie Seay, Ryan Seay, Sage Seay, Chad Knippa, Pat Seay, Alex "Black" Seay, James "Bubba" Devall and Gregory Gray.
