Charles Edward McDaniel, 75, of Carlyss, LA died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 in Toledo Bend, LA. Charles was born on May 13, 1938 in Leesville, Louisiana to Edward and Nettie McDaniel. Charles loved fishing, hunting, and restoring fishing boats. He enjoyed his many years of service as an Entrepreneur in the oil field industry while owning McDaniel's welding one of the first construction companies in Cameron Parish. He enjoyed attending church and being around family and friends. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Church of Westlake, LA. He will always be known for his wisdom and sincereness to many. He is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Cindy McDaniel of Carlyss, LA; seven children, Sheila Helms of Sulphur, LA Johnny and wife Ruth Ann McDaniel of Kinder, LA, Alvie McDaniel Stutes of Sulphur, LA, Tammy and husband Phil Thibodeaux of Lake Arthur, LA Thomas and wife Deborah McDaniel of Creole, LA , Chuck and Daena McDaniel of Creole, LA, and Charlotte and husband Darren Guillory, of Iowa, LA; step children, Recia Willis, Scott LaBove, Brady LaBove, Paula, Christy, and Emily; twenty two grandchildren, Kenny, Cherie, Brandie, Amy, Justin, Tawanna , Jake, Courtney, Zac, Brittany, Cody, Jeremy, Casie, Brice, Jenna, Brent, Danielle, Ian, Paige, Meghan, Brianna, and Ella; and 20 great grandchildren; one brother, Lavergne and wife Nola McDaniel; three sisters, Reba Gorden , Allie Smith and husband George , and Betty Ardoin and husband Wayne. He is preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Peggy Jean McDaniel, June Faye Hovatter, Mary Lee Ogea ; three brothers, Leroy McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, and Glen David McDaniel. Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM Friday, March 14, 2014 at the First Pentecostal Church of Westlake. Visitation will be Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 1:00 PM until 9:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will resume Friday morning at 9:00 AM at First Pentecostal Church in Westlake until time of service. Burial will be at Consolata Cemetery. Reverend Randy Stanton and Reverend Bob Rhymes will officiate services.
