Charles Milton Thomason III was born on July 7, 1953 in Sulphur, LA to the late Lucille and Charles Milton Thomason Jr.
He attended Sulphur High School, graduating Class of 1971. He began attending McNeese State University majoring in medicine until he was called to serve his beloved nation. On July 31, 1973 he enlisted into the United State Navy serving honorably as a Medical Assistant until receiving an honorable discharge on June 26, 1976. Upon returning home he took over his fathers business, Thomason Painting, he also worked at Academy and Lowes as a manager.
He was a proud father to his children, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with them, teaching them to fish, watching or attending his favorite team, the LSU Tigers or McNeese Cowboys. In his later years he and Brenda made Duson their home. Together they enjoyed spoiling the grandchildren, or frequent trips to his favorite honey hole in Grand Isle, where Brenda often out-fished him catching Speckled Trout.
He was welcomed into Heaven on Sunday, August 29, 2021 by: a daughter, Heather Thomason; his parents, Lucille and Charles Milton Thomason Jr.; a brother, Carey Thomason.
Those left to cherish his memory are; his children, Charlie (Ashley) Thomason, Victoria (Robert) Foster, and Crystal (Gabe) Heald; grandchildren, Camden, Grayson, Lathan, Mason, Cooper, Julien, and Violet; his life partner, Brenda Belmer; and a brother, Don Thomason.
The family will welcome friends at University Baptist Church on Wednesday, Sept 1, 2021 beginning at 10am until 2pm. A funeral service will begin at 2pm. Graveside services to be held Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 12pm at Oak Grove Cemetery in Natchitoches, LA.
