Charles Owen Henry

Charles Owen Henry, 44, of Lake Charles passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 in Lake Charles.

Charlie was born on December 24, 1976 in Lake Charles and was a graduate of Rosepine High School.  He worked hard to become certified as a rigger and later as a crane operator.  He was also in the process of becoming a certified instructor.  Charlie recently opened a mobile home moving company called Henry’s Heavy Haulers.  He was a member of The Roc Church in Sulphur.

He will be remembered as a hardworking, loving father who had a giving heart and soul.  Charlie enjoyed fishing, hunting, and competition bow shooting.  Charlie was a one of a kind with a personality to not be forgotten.  Everyone that had the opportunity to know him will never forget his spunk for life and love for his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jennifer Paige Henry of Lake Charles; children, Peyton of Vinton, and Elly, Jordan, and Jayce all of Lake Charles; his mother, Joyce Rose of Leesville; father, Charles Wayne Henry of Glenmore; grandmother, Barbara Louise Fontenot of Glenmore; siblings, Scott Pearson of Sulphur and Jamey Simmons of Leesville; and two special nieces, Serina Benoit and Sabrina Hays both of Lake Charles. 

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 PM on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at The Roc Church in Sulphur.  Pastor Steve Starks will officiate.  Cremation was entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home.  A private family gathering will begin at 1:30 PM with a public gathering to follow at 2:00 and continue until the start of the service.
