Charles Parker

April 4, 1966 — September 6, 2021

Our Lord and Savior picked up my brother Charles at 5:00 PM on September 6, 2021. His suffering has ended. So, I am thinking Trey met Charles at heaven's gate on his four-wheeler and they are now fishing or hunting…catching the big one. How happy they both must be. He will be missed very much, and we will all carry with us incredible memories of our time with Charles. Amy Beth said it best, “If you didn't have an Uncle Charles in your family, then your family must have been boring!”
Left to cherish our brother’s memory is the “love of his life”, Trish Parker, his daughter Dammie Fontenot (Jennifer) and four precious and incredibly amazing grandchildren: Noah, Evyn, Juliet, and Journey. His sisters Bonnie Moss (Neil) and Johnnye Ward (Glenn) and the best sister he never had – Amy Beth Fisher, his absolute well-deserved favorite! And numerous niblings from his siblings. Preceding him in death and waiting to welcome him into heaven are his parents Charles and Dee Dee Parker, his siblings Jimmy LuQuette and Renee Fisher, and his son, the joy of his heart, Trey Parker.
So, I guess Lake Charles is having to find a new master mechanic now that he is retired. Charles’s passion was enjoying friends that felt like family and he had a big family. Charles was a man who lived by his own rules. He could make you laugh and cry in the same conversation. The void our brother leaves behind will be larger than we all imagined.
The incredible ladies of Harbor Hospice somehow hide their halos and wings inside their scrubs. What did shine through was their compassion and professionalism. How blessed Charles and the rest of us were to have them help us through this difficult time. These ladies truly do God's work.
Unfortunately, due to COVID, there will be no funeral service.
