Charles "Pat" Legros

Charles “Pat” LeGros, 71, of Carlyss, Louisiana passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on August 24, 2023.  Pat was born in Jennings, La., on November 30, 1951, to Billy and Daisy LeGros.  
Pat graduated from Jennings High School in 1970.  He proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1973 to 1976.  He then went to work as an operator/pipefitter where he retired in 1995 due to injuries.  He began a new journey in 1999 as a full-time grandfather and he was the best.  He will be remembered as extremely hard working, a skilled musician with a love for Bluegrass, traveling and a doting Paw Paw.  
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Cathy LeGros of Carlyss, La., his sons; Scott LeGros (Adrianna) of Durant, OK., and Billy Padgett (Tom) of Pontiac MI., his daughters; Shannon LeGros of Iowa, LA., and Amy Benoit of Carlyss, LA., grandchildren; Mitchell, Alexis (Khoury), Mathew, Ryan, Duke, Lyric, Remy and Rip, great-granddaughter; Caroline Marie, his father; William Billy LeGros, his siblings; Beverly Ragland, Gretta Preston, Glenn LeGros (Derek), and Wade LeGros (Angel), additional family; Ruby Boo Young and her daughters Brenda, Becky, Karen, Donna, Kim and Christy.  He was preceded in death by his mother Daisy LeGros, his sons; Marcus Padgett and Mitchell LeGros, maternal grandparents; Anita and Clarence Landry, paternal grandparents, Eliza and Willy LeGros.  
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Padgett, Matthew Padgett, Lyric Walker, Khoury Clark, Chris Monceaux, Destin Burnworth 
Funeral services for Pat will be at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Father Edward Richard will officiate. The burial will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Jennings, LA.  A visitation will begin at 9:00 AM, Tuesday, at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church until the time of service.    Visitation will be from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Monday, August 28, 2023, at Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur, LA.
