Charles Rist

Charles Edward Rist, 85, passed away on December 22, 2024 in Lake Charles, LA. He was born August 6, 1939 to Edgar and Emma Rist in Metairie Ridge, LA.

He graduated from Southwestern Louisiana University and married Eleanor Mougeot on June 5, 1962 at St. Mary of False River in New Roads, LA. He retired from Baton Rouge Water Company as a manager after 27 years of service. He also served as an usher at St. Agnes Church and was an active member in the Lions Club for many years.

Charles is survived by his wife of 64 years, Eleanor Rist; his daughter Elizabeth Rist; and his son Charles Rist, Jr.; and 3 grandsons, Jeremy, Matthew and Nicholas Rist.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Faye Davidson and his brother Terry Rist.

A private service will be held and donations in the name of the deceased may be made to The East Baton Rouge Lions Club.

Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
