Charles Vernon "Bubba" Johnson

Charles Vernon “Bubba” Johnson, 88, of Lake Charles passed away peacefully on June 15, 2024, at his residence. He was born on December 8, 1935, in Lake Charles to Wesley and Ana-Elsie Johnson.

Bubba was married to Enora “Tweet” Johnson for over 70 years until her death in March of 2024. He was a devout practicing Catholic.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Carmen, Anthony, Wes and Shane Johnson; five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Enora “Tweet” Johnson.

His funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, June 21, 2024, in Johnson Funeral Home, 4321 Lake St. Lake Charles, LA. 70605. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00PM until 8:00PM Thursday, June 20, 2024, with a Rosary to be recited at 6:00PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Friday morning at 9:00AM and continue until service time.
