Charlie Breaux

Charlie Breaux, 74, passed away on March 21, 2023, in the comfort of his home.  Charlie loved being on the boat shrimping.  He was a commercial fisherman and shrimper by trade.  Charlie loved his family more than anything. 

Charlie is survived by his daughter, Melissa Richard and husband, Randy; his grandchildren, Kayla Richard, Charlie Richard, Alex Richard and Dustin Jordan; his great grandchildren, Isabella Richard, Jackson Jordan, Kennedy Jordan and Greyson Richard; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Yvette Breaux; parents, Edward Breaux and Nina Breaux; sisters, Mary McFarlain and Francis Smith; and three stepsons, Kenneth “Kenny” Lavergne, Morris “Mushy” Lavergne and Larry Lavergne. 

Services for Charlie will be Friday, March 24, 2023, at 2 PM at First Baptist Church of Carlyss.  Burial will follow at Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23, 2023, at First Baptist Church of Carlyss from 5-8 PM and will resume on Friday from 9 AM until the time of service.
