Charles Edward Charlie Rogers, 56, of Lake Charles, LA, died on Friday, March 29, 2013 in Channahon, IL.


Mr. Rogers was born September 27, 1956 in Lake Charles, LA, where he has lived all of his life. He was a 1974 graduate of LaGrange High School and attended McNeese State University and Sowela Technical School. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and worked as a turnaround planner all of his life. Charlie enjoyed Quarter horse racing and was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed hunting everything from alligator and deer to ducks and geese. He was a member of the National Rifle Association.


Charlie is survived by his wife of twenty-four years, Karen Robinson Rogers of Lake Charles; daughter, Bailee Lynn Rogers; sons, Jesse Paul Rogers and Jake Edward Rogers and fiance'e Olivia Broussard; father, Carey Joseph Roger and wife Doris; sister, Yvonne Roger Arabie; brother, Howard Paul Rogers; parents-in-law, Linda R. and Russell Bello all of Lake Charles; three nieces and three nephews.


He was preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Thibodeaux Roger; father-in-law, James Harold Jack Robinson; brother-in-law, Buddy Arabie; and grandparents.


His funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 5, 2013 at Christ the King Catholic Church. Father Wayne LeBleu will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Thursday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the funeral home.
