Charlotte Ann Saizan

June 1, 1935 — July 2, 2012

Charlotte Ann Sundberg Saizan went to be with the Lord on July 2, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer. She had just turned 77 on June 1. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 10 a.m. at Robison Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Smith officiating. Burial will be in Prien Memorial Cemetery in Lake Charles, LA under the direction of Robison Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 from 4-9 p.m. at Robison Funeral Home and will resume on Thursday at 8 a.m. until time of service. In high school, she was All-Conference for basketball and was voted Most Athletic. In later years, she was extremely involved with the Womens Bowling Association and a long-standing member of the SWLA Bowling Association. Charlotte won countless awards for outstanding achievement. She was the Secretary-Treasurer for the Sulphur chapter for many years. Charlotte was a member of Buford Grove Baptist Church in Hilliard, Florida for many years .She was kind and generous and gave selflessly of herself to family and friends. She was an outstanding mother and grandmother and role model for her family. She volunteered in coaching recreation sports with her husband for years. Charlotte is survived by four children, James E. Saizan, III and wife, Pat of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Patricia Saizan Huffer and husband, Steve of Columbia, Tennessee, Laurie Saizan Fontenot and husband, Chris of Moss Bluff, Louisiana and David Saizan and wife Sherry of Moss Bluff, Louisiana; ten grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, Sean Saizan of Altamonte Springs, Florida, Cara Corbin Burleson, husband Jeff and sons, Justin, Jacob and Jared, John Corbin and son Micah, and Caleb Corbin, all of Tennessee, Aimee Corbin Walthaw and husband, Cedric and daughters, Makenzee and Maloree of North Carolina; Stacey Gentry, Tracey Gentry, Molly Gentry Racca and husband, Joe and sons, JJ and Jonathan; Katie Hood and Amanda Saizan all of Moss Bluff , Louisiana; one brother, Walter Edwin Ed Sundberg Jr. and wife, Joyce and daughters, Sherri and Brenda of Orlanda Florida whom she treasured deeply. She was preceded in death by her loyal husband of over forty years, James E. Saizan, Jr.; her parents, Walter Edwin Sundberg and Mamie Geiger Sundberg of Hilliard, Florida; and her mother, and father-in-law, James E. Saizan and Robertha Rodrigue Saizan of Lake Charles, Louisiana.
