Charlotte Dumatrait Sibley

Charlotte Ann Dumatrait Sibley, 65, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 2:45 AM on Monday, July 11, 2011 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Sibley was born February 22, 1946 in Lake Charles, LA, where she lived all of her life. She was a 1964 graduate of Lake Charles High School and a 1966 graduate of Loyola University, where she was named most outstanding student. After receiving her degree as a dental hygienist, she taught at NorthEastern University for a couple of years and moved back to Lake Charles. She worked as a dental hygienist for Dr. Stevens and for Dr. Paul Vidrine for eighteen years, before retiring due to her illness. Mrs. Sibley was a member of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. She will always be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother, who was always there for her family and friends. She enjoyed time spent with her children and was an active part of their sporting and school activities.

Mrs. Sibley is survived by her son, Christopher Scott Sibley; daughters, Cari Ann Sibley and Cimberly Caye Sibley; sister, Sandy LaBiche Dugan, all of Lake Charles; nephews, Dohn LaBiche and wife Angie of Beaumont, TX and Scott LaBiche and wife Janet of Lake Charles; and grandchildren, Hayden Sibley and Michael James Kent, II "Mikie".

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Thelma Dumatrait.

Her funeral mass will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Father Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday at the funeral home from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM.

Pallbearers for the service will be Scott LaBiche, Dohn LaBiche, Wesley LaBiche, Drew LaBiche, Dr. Ewell Stevens, and Terry Brown.
