Charolette Ann Firmin, 75, passed away peacefully on January 27, 2025 in Houston, TX. She was born on September 12, 1949 in Lake Charles, LA to James Chesson and Gladys Mays Chesson.
Charolette was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. She graduated from Marion High School in 1968. She started her working career as a switchboard operator for South Central Bell (Bellsouth), and later retired as Service Representative after 30 years of service.
She was a faithful member of St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and hand embroidery. Above all, she cherished her granddaughters and loved spoiling them.
Those left to cherish her memory are, her beloved husband of 47 years, Lewis Paul Firmin, her son, Christopher "Chris" Firmin (Laurie), and her granddaughters, Ava Claire and Ali Elizabeth Firmin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Geraline Lynn Deshotel, and her brother James Chesson.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 31, 2025 in St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Church, 11054 LA-384. Reverend Monsignor James Gaddy will serve as Celebrant. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.
Memorial donations may be made to The Heart Association, The American Cancer Society, or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
