Charlotte Lee

Charlotte Yandle Lee, 77, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2024. She was born on January 4, 1947, in Lafayette, Louisiana, to Lacy Elwood Yandle and Gussy Mae Campbell Yandle.

She built a life filled with love, faith, and community. In her early years Charlotte worked as a bank teller, and it was there she met Frederick Lee, who visited her station daily. The two fell in love and married, enjoying a beautiful marriage until his passing in 2007.

Known for her caregiver's heart, Charlotte was a beacon of kindness and generosity. She always kept extra clothing on hand for those in need, embodying her willingness to literally give the shirt off her back. Her circle of friends was vibrant, and she enjoyed countless hours playing Bingo and Po-Ke-No. A faithful member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and Our Lady Queen of Heaven, Charlotte's devotion to her faith was evident in her daily life as she was also an active participant in ACTS retreats.

Above all, Charlotte was a loving mother, and a tender "Mimi," Her family was her greatest joy.

Charlotte is survived by her two sons, Michael Lee and Tony Lee (Jamie); her brother, Greg Yandle; her four grandchildren, Bella Lee, Morgan Williams (Ethan), Jordan Haymon (Casey), and Lauren Lee; and her five great-grandchildren.

Charlotte is preceded in death by her two parents; loving husband of 37 years, and her two siblings.

Charlotte was an active and cherished member of the Lake Charles community, and her warmth, generosity, and love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A funeral service to honor Charlotte's life will be held at 1:00 PM on December 17, 2024, at Johnson Funeral Home in Lake Charles. Public visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. Cremation will follow the service.
