Chase Allen Mccall

Chase Allen McCall, 28, of Westlake, LA, fought a courageous battle with cancer and passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018.

 

Chase was born July 11, 1990 in Lake Charles, LA and lived most of his life in Westlake, LA. He was a 2009 graduate of Westlake High School, where he enjoyed playing football and was known for his kicking. After high school, Chase worked as a hydro blast technician for Evergreen Environmental and carried out his passion by working as a commercial fisherman. Chase also enjoyed playing soccer, fishing, shrimping, crabbing, dancing, and listening to music, but most of all cherished the time he spent with his family and his dad in Grand Chenier. He will be remembered for his compassion and his heart of gold. He was a friend to all.

 

Chase is survived by the love of his life, Mayra Luisa Soto-Zambrano McCall, whom he married on September 5, 2016. He is also survived by his parents, Dale and Teresa McCall of Westlake; sisters, Tracy Fittz Martin and husband Eric and Stacy Fittz Elliott, all of Westlake, LA; grandfather, Hershall Jordan of Longville, LA; grandmother at heart, Darla Laborde of Moss Bluff; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pete and Diane McCall of Grand Chenier, LA and Norma Jean Mcvay of Westlake, LA.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be observed at 12:00 PM on Monday, September 10, 2018 at St. Eugene Catholic Church in Grand Chenier, LA. Father Clyde Thomas will serve as celebrant. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Catholic Cemetery, also in Grand Chenier. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Sunday from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM and a tribute service to follow. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Monday from 10 AM to 10:30 AM when the procession will leave.
