Cheryl Johnson Reece

Cheryl Johnson Reece, 64, of Fenton, LA died Sunday, July 5, 2015 in her residence. Cheryl was born on July 19, 1950 in New Iberia, LA to Starks and Lorraine Johnson. She loved landscaping, reading, and watching television. She was always interested in the environment and animals. She had a Horticulturist Degree from McNeese State University. She was smart and had a great since of humor. She is survived by one daughter, Wendy Richard and husband Armand of Fenton, LA; five siblings, Cleo Primeaux of Abbeville, LA, Daniel Johnson and wife Theresa of Lake Charles, LA, Ron Johnson and wife Mary of Grand Lake, LA, Gerald and wife Tammy Johnson of Grand Lake, LA, and Johnny and wife Donna Johnson of Lake Charles, LA; and many loving nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Reece; father, Starks Johnson; son, Toby Paul Blankenburg; one sister, Laura Guthrie, and brother-in-law, David Guthrie. Memorial services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Johnson Funeral Home. Cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Family Youth Counseling and National Guard Youth Foundation.
