Chris Ellen Vidrine

Chris Ellen Vidrine, 73, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in a local care facility.

Chris was born September 24, 1948 in Ville Platte, LA, was a 1966 graduate of LaGrange High School and attended McNeese State University.  She worked as a bookkeeper for over thirty years with Carson and Thompson Accounting, retiring four years ago.  She was a longtime member of St. Margaret Catholic Church and enjoyed watching television, shopping and loved the companionship of her cat, Sugar.

Chris is survived by her sisters, Susan Lowrey (Russell) and Marlene Vidrine-Barrilleaux; nephew, Daniel Paul Lowrey; her fur baby, Sugar; and numerous cousins and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Grace Pitre Vidrine; brother, Marty Vidrine; nephew and Godchild, Michael David Lowrey; uncle, Donald Chapman; brother-in-law, Clay Barrilleaux; and grandparents, Ferdinand and Virginia Vidrine and Avey M. and Leo Soileau.

Her Funeral Mass will be at 12:00 PM on Friday, September 2, 2022 at St. Margaret Catholic Church.  Father Andrew DeRouen will officiate.  Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery.  Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, with a rosary at 11:00 AM.
