Chris J. Borne

Chris J. Borne, 48, of Nederland, TX, formerly of Lake Charles passed away in a Port Arthur, TX Hospital, Saturday, May 24, 2014. Chris was a native and lifelong resident of the Hayes/Lake Charles area prior to moving to Nederland over three years ago. He was a graduate of Bell City High School and worked at Consolata Cemetery many years. Survivors include one son, Kaleb J. Borne and fiancée Kristina LeBleu; parents, Laris and Patty (Fruge) Borne; four brothers, Brian Borne and wife Trudy, Marvin Borne and wife Diane, Lonnie Borne and wife Cynthia, and Richard Borne and wife Delores; fiancée, Janet Osgood and her three children, Rachel and Ernie Knod and Hannah Bornman, and Janet's three grandchildren. His funeral will be at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Deacon George Carr will officiate. Burial will be in Derouen/Lorrain Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Monday with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM and continue from 9:00 AM until time of service Tuesday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family for final expenses.
