Christopher Lynn Montagne, 59, of Sulphur, LA passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2018. Christopher, or Chris as he was known, was born on December 16, 1958 in New Orleans to Dr. Ivan and Shirley Trahan Montagne.
Chris was a special needs person, but he did not let that get in the way of him enjoying life and being a source of joy to all who knew him. He especially loved to clean around the house, sometimes even throwing bills away before they had even been paid. He was fascinated by the sanitation trucks, and he especially loved the hat that the drivers presented to him – it made him feel like he was a part of the team. Chris loved animals and especially his cats. He enjoyed watching animated movies about animals, and he loved to watch “Homeward Bound”.
Chris is preceded in death by his loving parents.
Those left to cherish his memory include his uncle Herbert “Poochie” Trahan along with his two loving caregivers, David Van Gossen and Dawn Holtzman.
The family will receive friends at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday, June 11, 2018 from 4-6PM. A funeral service will be held at 6PM in the funeral home officiated by Mother Ally Perry. A private burial will take place at St. Anthony Cemetery in Lake Arthur, LA under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home.
