Christine “Chris” “Aunt Teenie” Babineaux Stracener, 60, of Lake Charles, LA, died at 10:48 AM on Friday, December 4, 2015 in her residence.   Mrs. Stracener was born October 15, 1955 in Lake Charles, LA, where she was a life-long resident. She was a 1974 graduate of LaGrange High School. She worked as a bookkeeper throughout her career and was a past member of St. Margaret Catholic Church. She enjoyed taking care of others, gardening, tending to her plants, cooking and spending time with friends; but her true passion in life was for her family and her grandchildren.   Mrs. Stracener is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Mark Stracener of Lake Charles; sons, Kristopher Stracener and wife Erin of Houston, TX and Ryan Stracener of Lake Charles; mother, Eula Mae Babineaux of Lake Charles; brothers, Ronnie Babineaux and wife Donna, Glenn Babineaux and wife Tammy, Dale Babineaux and wife Molly, and Scott Babineaux and wife Caroline, all of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Gabriel O’Brien and Paige Stracener; God-child, Bethany Ellender; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.   She was preceded in death by her father, Nelson Babineaux; and grandparents, Lillia and Hiram Babineaux and Della and Amous Derouen.   Her funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Father Jay Alexius will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a rosary at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Monday from 10:00 AM until the start of the service at 1:00 PM.
