Christine Nannette Manuel

Christine Nannette Manuel, 53, of Lake Charles died at 5:34 PM on Monday, October 6, 2014 in a local hospital. Christine was born on June 1, 1961 in Kinder, LA and lived in Lake Charles all of her life. She was a graduate of Lake Charles High School. Christine was an insurance agent for State Farm for over 20 years. She enjoyed painting crafts, knitting, and fishing. Those left to cherish her memory are a son, Marcus Crochet and wife Crystal of Welsh; a daughter, Heather Digby and husband Shawn of Deridder; her mother, Barbara Theriot and husband Martin of Longville; two brothers, Chris Manuel and wife Kim of Rome, GA and Charles Manuel and wife Cyndy of Moss Bluff; five beloved grandchildren, Blain, Addison, Cooper, Chloe, and Wyatt; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Preston Manuel and her puppy companion, Daisy. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, October 10, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Alan Trouille will officiate. Burial will follow in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Thursday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 6:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Friday from 8:00 AM until the start of the service.
