Christopher George Oliver Carnahan, 31, died Sunday, February 3, in Lafayette.
Chris was a native and life resident of Lake Charles, He attended Barbe High School and graduated from St. Louis Catholic High School.
He was a generator technician for Linear Controls and worked offshore.
Chris is survived by his wife, Megan Crume Carnahan of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two daughters Morgan Rene Guidry of Sulphur and Alyssa Nicole Carnahan of Albuquerque; a brother, Joey Carnahan of Lacassine; his mother Charlotte Ann Molbert Carnahan of Lake Charles; his father and step-mother Ronald Butch Carnahan and Dianne Carnahan of Lacassine and two nephews, Joseph Allen Clift and Benjamin Joseph Carnahan.
Chris was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Lilly Belle Stutes Molbert and his paternal grandparents, J. E. and Wanda Cromwell Carnahan.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, February 7, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. The Reverend Monsignor Charles DuBois will officiate. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Wednesday at Johnson Funeral Home. A rosary/scripture service will be recited at 6:00 PM Wednesday night in the funeral home chapel. Inurnment will be at Consolata Cemetery at a later date.
Jesus blessed Chris with a beautiful smile that warmed the hearts of all his family and friends. His heart was full of companionship for others and he is now where he wanted to be, in the arms of our Lord.
