Christopher E. Venable

Christopher E. Venable. 65, of Lake Charles, died Saturday July 19, 2014 at a local hospital with his family at his side following an extended illness. Chris was born in Lafayette, LA on August 14, 1948 to Earl and Mary Gillard Venable. He was a graduate of Marion High School. He worked in the oilfield industry for many years offshore and also worked with his family in the landscaping business. Chris was also an ordained minister, having graduated from Rhema Bible College in Oklahoma. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Jo-Elena Nastasi Venable; sons, Ryan Allen Venable, and Chris Venable, Jr.; daughters, Chrystal Kruid and husband Jeremy, and Stephanie Fuselier; stepdaughters, Jolie Deville and Husband Tony; Julee LaFleur and husband David and Jenna Parker and husband Jason; sister, Dale Richard and husband Bob; 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday July 21, 2014 at Living Faith Fellowship in Ragley with the Rev. David Lilley officiating.
