Christopher Langley

October 1, 1963 — December 18, 2024

Christopher "Bumper" Langley, 61, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away on December 18, 2024.

Bumper was a free spirit who embraced life with a sense of adventure and a passion for his craft. A lifelong mechanic, he earned his nickname by dedicating himself to the work he loved, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Bumper was a great father to his four children and one of the best friends anyone could have had. He was not only a great man to be around, but he was fun, he was the life of the party, and if anyone was not having a good day they would be in the best mood after hanging out with Bumper. His four children Chris, Cyle, Alexis, and Brookediamond were his world. He would do anything in his power to make sure they were taken care of before himself, regardless of what was going on in his life. He was one of the best mechanics ever and is known for his passion of working on and fixing things. He worked at the City of Lake Charles for 16 years and was a dedicated and very experienced employee; it is very obvious that he will be very missed by his colleagues and all of those that knew him from work. Bumper never let his health issues or his pain stop him from riding his Harley, going to work, or doing what he loved. Bumper loved expressing himself and really loved getting tattoos; he had roughly 30 of them! He could tell stories for hours about what each one meant to him and why he got it. He had the purest soul and the brightest blue eyes. His eyes were the color of the ocean water. He learned to surf in when he was younger in California. Bumper had 5 sisters and 2 brothers, and he took pride in protecting them. Once you became a part of Bumper’s life, you meant everything to him and he was there for anyone he cared for. His children will forever cherish the memories of their father and will continue to try to make him the proudest dad in Heaven!"

Bumper will be cremated under the care of Johnson Funeral Home. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
