Cindy Collette Spell, 52, of Lake Charles passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 in a local hospital following a lengthy illness. Ms. Spell was born in Jennings, LA and has lived most of her life in the Lake Charles area. She attended Barbe High School. During her younger years, she enjoyed singing and playing guitar with her family band. During her later years she enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and working in her yard. Her greatest times were shared with family and spent traveling, especially aboard a Cruise Ship! Ms. Spell was a friend to many, she loved being around people, seeing them smile and having a good time. Her job as a waitress was perfect for her. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother, Rose Blanchard Spell of Lake Charles; son, Jacob Landry of Jackson, LA; daughter, Gina Francis Giamis of Lake Charles; three sisters, Carol Baugh and husband Bruce, Patty Richard and husband Lee and Connie Jordan and husband Mike, all of Lake Charles and her very well loved dog, Taffy. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl C. Spell. The family of Ms. Spell will respect her wishes with a Private Memorial Service in celebration of her life.
