Clarence Lester Callihan, 87, of Lake Charles, Louisiana, passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at a local hospital. He was born in Covington, LA and has lived in Lake Charles for the past 50 years. Mr. Callihan has been in the banking business for the past 50 years as a financial advisor and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #165 in Lake Charles. He was a member of University United Methodist Church. In his spare time he took pride in taking care of his yard. Mr. Callihan is survived by one daughter, Teddy Jean Newman of Maurice, LA; one son, Mark Lester Callihan and wife Ester of Fort Worth, TX; one brother, Douglas Callihan of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Mary Louise of Hammond, LA and Betty Ruth of Mandeville, LA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Rev. Katie McKay Simpson will officiate. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Gardens. Visitation Thursday will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue Friday from 9:00 AM until the time of service with a Masonic service beginning at 1:30 PM.
