Clarence J. "Calou" Louvier, Jr., 70, of Sulphur died at 9:05 AM on Monday, May 23, 2011 in a Sulphur care facility.
Mr. Louvier was born on February 13, 1941 in Lake Charles, LA and lived in the Lake Charles/Sulphur area all of his life. He was a butcher and chef for many years.
He enjoyed many things in life including cooking, gardening, and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Shelia Deaton of Lake Charles and Tara Louvier of Sulphur; one sister, Betty Canfield and husband Charles; four grandchildren, Taysha Deaton Gibbs and husband Josh of Baton Rouge, Ronald Deaton of Lake Charles, Shana Darbonne Manuel and husband Brent of Lake Charles, and Kody Mudd of Sulphur; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Agnes and Clarence J. Louvier, Sr.; a sister, Cleo Soileau; and a grandson, Donald Angie Deaton.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Lonnie Gothrup will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and will continue on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
