Clarence Morgan Swilley, Jr. 64, of Lake Charles passed away Monday April 2, 2012 at his son's residence.
He was born in Kirbyville, TX and raised and educated in DeRidder, where he was a graduate of DeRidder High School. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. Clarence worked most of his life in the construction industry in local refineries, having retired as a boilermaker with IMC. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, playing sports with them.
He is survived by two sons; David Nolen and wife Kimberly of Lake Charles and Bradley Lanier of DeQuincy; six grandchildren; Tyler Schmidt, Alexis, Bryson, David, and Joner Nolen, and Jaylon Broussard; one sister Goria Jean LeBleu; half sister, Myrtice Brocato, and a half brother, James Davis; along with his former wife and dear friend Pattie Swilley.
His Memorial Service will be at 3:00 PM Thursday April 5, 2012 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverends Gary Mann and Charles Branieff will officiate. A gathering of family and friends will be from 12:00 PM Thursday until time of service at the funeral home.
