Claude Brice Washington, 73, of Lake Charles passed away at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 in a local care facility.
Mr. Washington was born on April 1, 1945 in Pine Grove, LA, and was raised in New Orleans where he lived until moving to Lake Charles in 2005. He was a 1963 graduate of St. Augustine School for Boys and attended Southern University of New Orleans where he majored in Sociology. Mr. Washington worked at the Isle of Capri as a porter.
He will be remembered as a good man who loved his grandchildren and was very family oriented.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Kim Dunn Washington of Lake Charles; a son, Talmadge Lewis Washington (Annette) of Gulfport, MS; ten step children; eight siblings; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one God daughter; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jethro Washington and Marion Bell Washington; step son, Morial Dunn; and a step grandson, Frederick Dunn.
Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 14, 2018 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9:00 AM and continue until the start of the service.
