Claude E. Donahue, 102, of Moss Bluff, Louisiana died at 8:55 PM Friday, June 10, 2016 in his residence with his loving family.

 

Mr. Donahue was born on January 3, 1914 in Reeves to the parents of Louise and Garland Donahue. He was raised most of his life in Kinder Louisiana. Mr. Donahue was currently living in Moss Bluff for the past 35 years. He was a 1930 graduate of Kinder High School. Mr. Donahue worked as a welder and as a supervisor for many large contractors in Lake Charles and overseas. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church in Lake Charles, also a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local #106. In his spare time he loved to play golf, duck hunting and amusing his family and friends.

 

He is survived by one son, Donnie Wayne Donahue and wife Judy of Moss Bluff, LA, three grandchildren, Chip Donahue of Houston, TX, Glen Donahue of Moss Bluff, LA and Steven Champagne of Houston, TX, and 6 great grandchildren.

 

Mr. Donahue is preceded in death by his loving wife Freddie Donahue and, one daughter, Claudia “Priss” Champagne and husband Coon, one grandson, Brandy Champagne.

 

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 11:00AM at First Pentecostal Church. Reverends Jeffery Ralston, Johnny Harrell and Johnny Donahue will officiate. Burial will be in Old Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will begin on Monday at 5:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home until 9:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the church until the time of services.
