Claude Frederick "Buddy" Latour

Claude Frederick “Buddy” Latour, 79, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at his home in Lake Charles, LA. 

Mr. Latour was born on August 16, 1940 in Lake Charles, LA to Claude and Ruth Rothkam Latour.  He was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles.  He attended Landry High School.  He was a machinist, retiring from PPG after 32 years of service.

Buddy will be remembered for his big heart.  He was a friend to all, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed fixing and racing cars for as long as he could.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Bertha Bertrand Latour; daughter, Jessica Bordes (Pat) of Rayne; his sons David Scott Latour (Rolanda) of Lake Charles, C. J. “Joey” Latour of Moss Bluff, and Brad B. Latour (Kelley) of Rosepine; his sister, Pat Barras of Lake Charles; his grandchildren, Conner Latour, Tye Latour, Shelby Bordes, Cryslyn Bacon Latour, and Morghan Latour.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Shirley Perroncel; and his grandson, Trey Patrick Bordes.

His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 10, 2020 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Lance Stockman will officiate.  Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home of Lake Charles.  Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
