Claudia Mitchell Perry

Claudia Mitchell Perry, 69, of Lake Charles, LA died at 2:00 AM on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 in her residence.

Mrs. Perry was born November 3, 1943 in Tucson, AZ. She was a 1961 graduate of Sulphur High School. She retired as an outside plant designer from Bell South (South Central Bell) in March of 2003 after thirty-three years of service. She will always be remembered for her loving kindness and not only her ability to see the good in people, but also to bring out the best in people. She had an insatiable curiosity and a love of all animals, gardening, and the underdog.

Mrs. Perry is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Dewitt Arnold D.A. Perry; two sisters, Lauren Young and husband Sherman and Maria Arceneaux, all of Sulphur, LA; sister-in-law, Charlotte Mitchell of Lake Charles; and nephews, Mark Mitchell, Jr. of Lake Charles and Brendon Stuart David and wife Georgette of Long Beach, California.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Llelwyn Mitchell and Ruth Mitchell Nagel; brother, Mark Mitchell; and nephew, Joshua Sky David.

Her body was cremated under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. No funeral or memorial service are planned at this time.
