Cleve Fowler

September 28, 1950 — March 19, 2022

Larry “Cleve” Fowler was born September 28, 1950 to Murvel R. and Fay A. Fowler in Baytown, Texas.

Baytown was his home until graduation, where he entered into the United States Navy. Upon receiving an honorable discharge, he returned home and began working for Crowley Maritime. It was during a delivery he met his wife to be Carmen and they exchanged vows on December 19, 1987.

Time with his family was what he cherished most, whether it was a friendly round of golf at Mallard Cove, shooting pool, or taking their yearly vacations to Galveston Island, Gatlinburg, or Branson, Missouri.

He was a member of Lakewood Bible Fellowship, where he sang with the worship team.

His devotion to his faith and family is what he will best be remembered for. Through his own battle with Cancer, he never faltered in being the pillar to his family, especially Carmen as she battled and won her own cancer battle.

He was welcomed into Heaven by his father, Murvel Ray Fowler; mother Fay Aileen Hamlin; and a brother, Mike Fowler.

Those left to cherish his memory: his wife of thirty-four years Carmen Fowler; two sons, Chad Dittman and Shane Faul; a daughter, Aileen (Beau) Foote; two grandchildren, Addison and Jayden; and two sisters, Penny Phillips and Donna Sweatt.

The family will welcome friends Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at University Baptist Church beginning 5pm to 8pm. Visitation will resume Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at 9am until time of service. Funeral services led by pastor Aaron Terry will begin at 11am, with burial to follow at Consolata Cemetery.
