Cleveland Roy Molitor

Cleveland Roy Molitor, 68, of Sulphur, LA, died at 1:20 AM on Friday, September 14, 2018 in his residence.

 

Mr. Molitor was born August 31, 1950 in Kinder, LA, raised in Lake Charles, LA, and has lived in Sulphur for over forty years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, receiving a Purple Heart and numerous other medals for his service. Roy worked as a pipefitter and welder retiring in 2011 from Custom Metal, where he worked for over ten years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and had a great love for his family.

 

Mr. Molitor is survived by his wife of fifty years, Pam Matt Molitor; sons, Jonathan Molitor and Andy Molitor, all of Sulphur, LA; sisters, Joyce Guillory and husband Winston of Pasadena, TX and Terry Meaux of Lake Charles; brother, James Lee Deaton of Lake Charles; grandchildren, Mathew Molitor, Kailey Molitor, Kyle Molitor, and Jace Guidry; and great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Marlee, Shaylee, and Savanah.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Molitor and Pearl Deaton; son, Bobby Shayne Molitor; and sisters, Jane Deshotel, Sherry Deaton, and Earleen Ripley.

 

His funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church in Sulphur. Father Edward J. Richard, MS will officiate. Burial will follow in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a Cursillo Rosary at 6:30 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday at the funeral home from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
