Clifford Guillory

Clifford Guillory, 94, of Lake Charles passed away Sunday, December 27, 2015.

Mr. Guillory was born in Mamou, LA and has lived most of his life in Lake Charles. He served the U.S. Merchant Marines. He worked most of his life as an installer and repairman for Overhead Door. He loved gathering with family and cooking outdoors. Mr. Guillory enjoyed gardening and growing his own vegetables. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.

He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of seventy-five years, Dorothy Johnson Guillory of Lake Charles; one granddaughter, Jennifer Renee Peppers and husband Paul of Rome, GA; one grandson, Joseph Brian Guillory and wife Robin of Fort Polk, LA; great grandchildren, Joseph Michael Guillory of Rome, GA, Cpl. Steven Winfield Rushing of Fort Hood, and Adriana Lauren Shuff of Rome, GA.

He was preceded in death by his son, Terrell Joseph Guillory; parents, Willie and Zellima Guillory; two brothers, Lawrence and Alex Guillory and one sister, Lillie Guillory.

Memorial services will be at 12:00 PM Wednesday, December 30, 2015 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Jack Tillery will officiate. Visitation Wednesday will be from 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM in the funeral home. Graveside services will be at 3:00 PM in Evangeline Memorial Park Cemetery in Ville Platte, LA.
