Clifford Thomason

Clifford Alec Thomason, 76, of Lake Charles, passed away on Sunday January 24, 2021 at a local hospital.

Clifford was a native of Wichita Falls, Texas and long-time resident of Lake Charles. He retired after an honorable and faithful career in the United States Army. While in the Army, he served in the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm along with numerous other medals.  He enjoyed fishing, and especially any kind of mechanical work.

Preceding Clifford in death are his parents, Ernest and Grace Reed Thomason. He leaves to cherish his memory, his beloved wife of 37 years, Cheryl Merritt Thomason, and fur baby, B.J. and numerous friends and family of the heart.

As to his wishes, cremation has been entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home. A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
