Clifton J. Clement, 77, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2011.
He was born in Morse, LA and lived in LeBleu Settlement for over 40 years. Clifton was a retired carpenter and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He will be remembered for his kind and nice qualities.
Mr. Clement was catholic in faith. He was a member of St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa and was a member of the Knights of Columbus Post 3006.
Those left to cherish his memory, his wife, Katherine Clements; two daughters, Darlene M. Clement Kernan and husband Don Kernan, Frances Clement Guidry and husband Johnny Guidry all of Crowley; four step children, Larry "Cowboy" Reed, George Reed, Joey Reed, and Dennis Reed all of LeBleu Settlement; 5 grandchildren, 7 step grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death y his parents, John and Celia Meaux Clement; son, Joseph Clement; step daughter, Judith Reed; two step sons, James Reed and Johnny Reed; two brothers, Will Clement and Claude Clement; two sisters, Gladys, Amelia, and Maya.
Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 2PM at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Iowa. Father Beni Wego will officiate. Burial will follow in Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff. Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home Monday from 5PM-9PM with a rosary at 6:30. Visitation will continue Tuesday from 8AM until time of service.
