Clifton Joseph Breaux, III, 49, of Lake Charles passed away Tuesday, April 29, 2014 in a Houston hospital. Mr. Breaux was a lifelong resident of Lake Charles. He was a 1983 graduate of Barbe High School. Having started as a junior in High School at the age of 16, Mr. Breaux was the Maintenance Supervisor with thirty-three years with the Housing Authority of Lake Charles. He has always been an avid outdoorsman. Enjoyed hunting more during his younger years and fishing and shrimping every chance he got. Mr. Breaux also took great pride in providing for his family, spending time with his family and especially loved cooking for gatherings of family and friends. Some of his greatest times were shared with his best friend, Darrel at his camp. He will be most remembered for his famous statement, "Big Fella FAE" (Fishing Aint Easy). He leaves to honor his memory, his loving wife of twenty-five years, Diane Houston Breaux; five daughters, Patricia Breaux Hoffpauir (Dustin), Amanda Breaux Perkins (Eric), Danielle Breaux Guillory (Matthew), Sarah Breaux and Gabriella Breaux; grandchildren, Gavin, Damian, Landon, Carli, Quentin, Logan, Alicia, Lance, Kaleb and one on the way; his loving mother-in-law, Jeannie Houston; brother-in-law, Gerald Houston (Jennifer); brother and sisters, Clifton "T-Boy" Breaux, Jr., Dorothy "Janel" Courville, Robert Breaux, Michael Breaux and Wendy Breaux and half brothers and sisters, Kristina, Donald, Angela, Cathy and Bobbie Collins. He also leaves his nephews that were like "sons" to him, Jacob and Michael Paul Higginbotham and their wonderful wives, Amber and Leda and children he loved so much. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and two sisters. A Celebration of Life will be at 5:00 PM Saturday, May 03, 2014 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend Glenn Massey will officiate. Gathering of family of friends will be from 12:00 PM until 5:00 PM in the funeral home. Mr. Breaux's family wishes to extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Mohammad Kahn, and the nurses and staff of Christus St. Patrick's Unit #51, with special thanks to Dorothy, Violet and Chad for their excellence in care in compassion during this time. Memorial donations may be made to the family for outstanding medical expenses.
